Hi JC

Definitely! I don't want to marginalise any other languages - the decision was to get a critical mass of questions in an area to prove that the concept works. If we spread ourselves too thing in the beginning the site would only frustrate people and lose momentum fast. If we can quickly ramp up to the site being really useful for a group of teachers then we can leverage that success for support to move into other areas.

The simplest thing would be to run a sprint for content in Afrikaans (just because of the number of well resourced schools nearby with computer labs and internet access) in a couple of months time. The software that we've developed can easily handle filtering by language and having the curriculum tagging/topics in multiple languages.

An opportunity also exists for tranlsation, a user can create their own copy of a question (derivative copy) which they can edit - that edit could be translating the content. Questions and their solutions aren't usually very long so each question translated is a self-contained project that could be quite satisfying.

Long story to say that it is all possible, we just have to start somewhere and have limited resources.

Thanks for bringing it up though.

Hi Mark

It's inspiring to hear of people and project that try to positively shape society!

I hope that you will take multilingualism into serious consideration so that the other official languages can also eventually benefit from this venture.
